The amount of your fine is located in the schedule on the back of the citation and on this website under "Traffic Fines". Fines can be paid with cash, check, money order and debit or credit cards. There is a convenience fee added to the cost of the fine when debit/credit cards are used, generally about 2-3%. We can process debit/credit card payments by phone. Payments are accepted at the clerk's office during the hours of 8:00am to 3:00pm prior to the court date on the ticket. Otherwise, a court appearance is required on the date noted at the bottom of the citation. Fines and court costs assessed by the Judge must be paid the same day. We do not accept online payments at this time.
Failure to appear in court on the scheduled court date or failure to pay the fine before the court date will result in default judgment, additional court costs, and the Tennessee Department of Safety will be notified to initiate suspension of the guilty party’s drivers license.
