No. You may pay your ticket using the schedule on the back of your ticket and not appear in court. The mailing address is on the back of the ticket.
If you know in advance that you will not be able to attend court on your scheduled court date, you must call the Court Clerk’s office at (615) 298-1223 prior to the court date to reschedule for a later date. Your court date may only be rescheduled once, and cannot be rescheduled after court has begun.
Yes. There is a convenience fee assessed for this service of $2.00 for charges of $100 or less, or $5.00 for charges from $101 - $500. We also accept cash, check or money order.
Yes. If you are found guilty or pay the ticket without coming to court, the City of Belle Meade is required to report the information to the Tennessee Department of Safety. This information is part of your official driving record.

We do have a Defensive Driving School. Anyone hoping to attend the school must appear before the Judge on their assigned court day. The Clerk does not have the authority to permit someone to attend school. The Defensive Driving School has been designed primarily for first offenders or those who have maintained a safe driving record for an extended number of years. If you are allowed to attend the Defensive Driving School, you will be required to pay the School fee. Upon documentation of your attendance, your ticket will be dismissed.
Your case will be heard in the City Court of Belle Meade. Sworn testimony will be heard, facts of the case will be presented and the Judge will render a decision concerning the matter.
